U can also get a neg. opk but temp rise which means u did O. It is possible your body prepared to O but didn't.

I continue to have positive opk for 1 or 2 days after the peak one but i know LH is coming down at that point. And i would BD on ovulation day and the next 2 or 3 days after as well. BBT is more "accurate" in that it is the only of the two that will actually confirm that you've ovulated. Unfortunately, it only tells you after the fact. It is possible to get a +OPK and not ovulate, which is why OPKs are not always accurate. I would recommend using both--Use OPKs until you get a +, then have sex every day (if possible) until ...
